A groundhog is one thing... a family of skunks is another thing altogether.
Skunks are usually nocturnal but they also sometimes come out during the early morning or late evening. This video was taken around 7am. YouTube has lots of videos of baby skunk sightings during daylight so I don't think they're rabid.
Isn't it funny how they notice me and run for cover? : )

I love skunks!! I really do ... Except for the smelly part of course. :)
So funny! My friend Aimee told me the most hysterical story of how this summer she came home and her house was SURROUNDED by skunks! She said there were at least a dozen babies. Her and her husband didn't know what to do so they called the police! LOL! Needless to say no mug shots were given but she said two police cruisers came over just to laugh and tell her there was nothing they could do and she just had to wait it out! :) - Bobbie-Jo (can you believe it - I'm reading a blog - its actually my third)
